Dance Lessons
The Higher Ground Performing Arts Studio offers a variety of dance lesson styles and methods. Highly qualified teachers with varied training and teaching methods are available to teach a broad range of dance formats.
We offer a wide range of dance classes for all ages and abilities. Our dance classes are offered to 3 year olds to adults at a novice thru professional level. Our curriculum includes Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Break Dance, Contemporary, Acrobatics, Pre-School Dance, Belly Dance, and Salsa. We also offer Zumba, a Latin fusion dance workout that will transform your body and soul and keep you wanting more. New programs are constantly being added.
Our smaller class sizes allow students to get more individual instruction from teachers. This also ensures that the teacher can catch any problem before it turns into a bad habit, and improve technique.
We are a school that emphasizes technical skills and performance. Students are given performance experience in our mid and year-end productions. Students also have other opportunities to perform in festivals and community events
The Higher Ground Performing Arts Studio also has a company that performs all over the community. The company is audition based. They are available for performances, concerts, and special events. As a member of the HG school, you can audition to become a member of this wonderfully talented company of dancers and singers.
